Bourbon Club Rules

1. THE BOURBON

a. Bourbon purchased for Feichterville Bourbon Club shall only be enjoyed during meetings and may be enjoyed at any subsequent meeting until the bottle is emptied, awarded to a member, or divided equally amongst its members

b. Bourbon purchased for Feichterville Bourbon Club may be sampled in small quantities before the meeting to ensure a proper tasting order and profile notes

2. THE MEETINGS

a. Meetings shall be held four times a year (in the months of January, March, July, and October)

b. Meetings must always be informative and of a casual atmosphere, and will feature at least two bottles of whisky purchased with due money

c. Meetings shall be held on a weekend and will promptly begin at 7:30pm and end at 9:00pm

d. Meetings shall occur on a night that accommodates the schedule of membership majority who have RSVP’d to attend the meeting

e. Meetings may be held at various locations and have a theme (region, taste, distillery, and cask type)

f. Extra meetings may be added should the opportunity arise

3. THE MEMBERSHIP

a. Membership lasts one full year (at least four meetings) and is not linked to attendance

b. Membership starts and renews with a due of $100 cash

c. Membership may have a member cap which is determined by the Feichterville Bourbon Club president (currently 20)

d. Membership dues are not refundable

e. Members must attend a minimum of 2 meetings a year

4. THE MEMBERS

a. Members must always act responsibly during and after all meetings, and never partake in whisky snobbery

b. Members may bring guests to meetings provided they pay a guest fee of $25, and must have notified the president before the meeting day, and an attendance cap has not been reached

c. Members will vote if a guest is interested in joining club. Majority of vote casts decision

d. Members may vote to relinquish membership rights of a current member who has acted in a way not becoming of a Feichterville Bourbon Club member

e. Members who have been relinquished or their membership rights may receive a partial refund which is determined by the Feichterville Bourbon Club president

f. Members absent at a meeting must relinquish their portion of Bourbon to all who attend but may obtain a sample from the president before the meeting if schedules allow

g. Members must respond to emails sent by the Feichterville Bourbon Club president in a timely manner for their vote or reservation to be counted

5. THE PRESIDENT

a. Is responsible for determining meeting locations, dates, purchasing Feichterville Bourbon Club Bourbon, collecting due money, and running meetings

b. May ask for volunteers to help with responsibilities
